Types of therapy

Having a choice in the type of therapy that best serves you is important. Sessions are tailored to achieve the best outcomes and I integrate several approaches, depending on your needs. All sessions £80.

Counselling & Psychotherapy

I aim to provide a safe, impartial space to verbalise how you're really feeling. We will work together to help you find your own solutions — giving you space and time to reflect on what you really want and how you might get there. We have lots of options, including working psychodynamically with the 'parts' of your personality, exploring the underlying causes of your issues, or taking a more action-based approach.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) is the practice of recalling traumatic events while the brain is stimulated bilaterally — with eye movements, physical stimulation, or sounds. This evidence-based technique is widely used to treat traumatic stress and PTSD, and can be remarkably effective in helping you process difficult experiences.

Rewind Technique

The Rewind Technique for Trauma is a simple, effective way to separate intense feelings from a traumatic memory, so that the memory no longer triggers distress. One benefit is that there's no need to discuss the incident with me if you prefer not to, and it is very brief — from just 1–3 sessions for a single incident trauma. I use it for phobias and traumatic stress.
